How It All Started

It all started when one man was inspired to carve an image of the Daniel 2 statue out of a giant redwood tree for evangelism purposes. Don Frost with his small team searched for a redwood tree that they could obtain. The trees are protected and so he had to wait until he found one that was already removed and met the specifications. In the meantime, Don worked on the models and drawings. After months of waiting, Don was notified of two trees slated for removal due to safety concerns in the neighborhood. But there was no money to purchase one or to hire equipment to haul the tree. The group set out a fleece, asking the Lord to provide the funding by a specific time and date or they would not proceed with the project. To their astonishment, the funding came through just in time, and they knew God was leading the project.

As soon as the tree was transported to the carving location, carving commenced and continued tirelessly for nine months, even despite adverse weather.

Many people donated towards the project to make the dream possible. Don and the team made plans to structurally engineer a mechanism to transport, lift and hold this almost 40-foot statue, so that it would pass all the safety requirements and high wind provisions. To get the trailer they needed, they turned to a Canadian company to build one to their specifications.

The entire endeavor tested the faith of those involved, but along the way, they saw clear signs that God was at work.Through the sacrificial acts of the team, the donors, and individuals who saw the vision, this statue was completed in time to be used once just before the Covid-19 pandemic, and then it was parked due to the universal disruption. In its short use before long-term storage, this statue has already been the means to bring 17 souls to Christ through Bible studies and baptism into the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, as well as an avenue to hand out thousands of supporting literature to the city of Las Vegas.

In early 2026, Don approached Amazing Discoveries to ask if we would be interested in carrying on the vision of using the statue for evangelism just as the early Advent believers had done. We were 100% on board, having prayed about it and knowing God’s approval of using such methods for evangelism.

We consider it a privilege to be able to resurrect this amazing project and bring it back to life, even larger and better than before. It’s time to dust it off, restore it and get the last message of warning out to a dying world! We invite our Adventist believers to join us in this colossal outreach plan!

Take your place in the Loud Cry.
