Once the models were developed and drawings stamped by engineers they set out to locate a redwood tree that would meet the specifications. Don was notified of two trees slated for removal due to safety concerns in the neighborhood. But there was no money to purchase one and hire equipment to haul the tree. His team set out a fleece, asking the Lord to provide the funding by a specific time and date, or they will not proceed with this project. To their astonishment the funding was provided right on time and they knew God was in the project.

As soon as the tree was transported to the carving location, carving commenced tirelessly for nine months, even through adverse weather. In order to build the custom trailer to transport and lift this statue to the specifications of the engineers, Don turned to a company in Canada and everything was in place to get this project off the ground.

The entire endeavor tested the faith of those involved, marking the project with clear signals that God was directly involved. Through the sacrificial acts of the team and individuals who saw the vision, this statue was completed in time to be used once right before the covid-19 pandemic, then it was parked due to the universal disruption. In its short usage before long-term storage, this statute has been the means to already bring 17 souls to Christ through Bible studies and baptism into the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, as well as the avenue to hand out thousands of supporting literature to the city of Las Vegas.

We consider it a privilege to be able to resurrect this amazing project and bring it back, better than before. It’s time to dust it off, restore it and get the last message of warning out to a dying world!
